K3 Sa Forest Adventures now presents the world’s longest zipline as part of its product offering – this is the 7th Zipline our company has developed, constructed, and opened. We have achieved several international awards and recognition for our adventures. One would be naive to think we only offer ziplines as our product range is rather extensive. Look at our website for all our other products.

K3 Sa Forest Adventures – World`s Longest Zipline

R1800 per person ( we would prefer you book in advance but you’re also welcome to walk in at our office and pay on arrival) booking in advance secures you a definite spot. – we have an onsite Coffee shop if you need to wait.

K3 Sa Forest Adventures zipline is situated a mere hour from Cape Town just outside The town of Caledon on the N2 National High Way. The product is an exclusive adventure – this means we have limited capacity. (groups of 10 and larger can be accommodated but need to email us) On arrival at our “Base Camp,” our knowledgeable guides will assist you with the check-in process and also familiarize you with the do`s and don’ts. Before we embark into the mountains we have an onsite coffee shop where you can grab a takeaway refreshment for the +-60 Minutes 4×4 mountain.

We have 2 modes of trekking up the +- 7km mountain trail – our Big Red ( custom build 20 seater luxury trailer) or in one of our smaller 4×4 vehicles.)  trekking into the mountain takes +- 60 minutes and depending on the group size you could be on the mountain for a fair time so please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and sun block if a sunny day.

The Trail is an amazing escape into one of the most unique fynbos kingdoms teaming with wildlife such as a variety of antelope, lizards, and an abundance of bird life. Our mountain is home to the only known population of the Critically Endangered Rough Moss Frog. an amphibian species restricted to this mountain. As we creep higher up on the single-track trail you will have an uninterrupted birds eye view of the Overberg.

Once at the peak, a short but steep hike will take you to “the Nest” our small and intimate departure platform ( we have designed this structure to be functional for the safety aspects of the adventure but also ensured the manmade platform blends seamlessly in with the surroundings) the guide will refresh everyone’s memory on the safety aspects of the Zipline. Once done with the formality the guide will take one person at a time to send them down the cable. Please note the waiting time at the top of the mountain is determined by the group size and for safety reasons we will never rush.

Once you’re clipped in on the cable there is no going back now it’s 3.2km of sheer speed and fun – depending on your weight the speed descending from the mountain peak could be as much as 120Km to 150 Km/H. This is the world’s longest zipline and as the ground rushes past you in the first 100 meters you might still feel very comfortable. from +- 200 Meters from “the Nest” you start flying into the air where the ground drops away at +- 500Meters below you.

Just as you get 100% comfortable our base camp will appear before you where our landing platform will welcome you. The lead guide at the platform will clip you off from the cable and you will make your way down the 12 Meter staircase.
