We explored the upper section of the Palmiet.

The Sa Forest Adventures guides decided to start close to the N2 Bridge and worked down the Palmiet — It was amazing. 2 x Waterfalls. We encountered rapids that to our knowledge have been undocumented.

We viewed beach sections where you would have the worlds best picnics in exceptionally remote areas. Cape Leopard foot prints in the sand etc etc 12 hours on the river — 244 bends in the river — 22 rapids – 22.8km

Black Water Tubing Near Cape Town? YES YES and YES

+- 1 Hour from Cape Town next to the town of Kleinmond near Hermanus you will find the Palmiet river.

This river flows in the Kogelberg World Heritage Site. Kogelberg Nature Reserve is often considered the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom, because of the exceptional quality of its fynbos. The reserve lies within the southern stretch of the rugged Hottentots Holland mountain range, and has remained isolated and remarkably unspoilt. Its high mountain peaks, steep kloofs, valleys and several tributaries of the pristine Palmiet River create a sense of remote wilderness.

It is on the Palmiet where we tube down the cascading drops for a stretch of river unlike any where ells in South Africa. The qualified guides will ensure you have a memorable experience. One that you will be talking about for a while! Lol .
