ACTIVITY 1

Quad Biking Activity -Mountain and Vineyards Drive +- 1h30

This route takes you through the world-renowned vineyards of Hamilton Russell and Southern Right wineries. Travel up the mountain and through the fynbos kingdom. Drive into the Fernkloof Nature Reserve and your half way point is one of the most pristine look-out points in the Western Cape. From here you will have a spectacular birds-eye-view of Hermanus. Cameras on this trip are an absolute must! – This vantage point allows you to see the bigger picture of activity throughout the entire bay.

ACTIVITY 2

Zipline Tour

The Hermanus Zip lines extends from our the mountain and zip lining over a small waterfall between the Poplar Trees and Canyon. This a memorable experience.

High above the ground (8 to 10 Meters) the 2 guides will allow you to glide from platform to platform with only the local eagles and bird life noise echoing in the forest.

The 9 to 12 platform slides range from 20 meters to 120 meters and with a safe breaking  system you control the speed you travel at. So it could be a fast adrenaline experience or it could just be a slow easy glide high above the ground. Come and experience something different but forever memorable.

ACTIVITY 3

Sandboarding

Sandboarding is a boarding Sport similar to the popular Snowboarding.

It is an awesome recreational activity that takes place on our Large +-230 meter High Sand Dune rather than on a snow covered mountain. This boarding sport has adherents throughout the world, most prevalently in desert areas or coastal areas with beach dunes.

We are very fortunate to have one of Africas Highest Commercial Sand Boarding Dunes a stone throw away from Cape Town                    in Bettys Bay.
Our guides/s will provide you with training and safety on the dune. Sandboarding is a wonderful activity as its both fun and extreme (depending on your skills as you progress) Once our training session has finished we will start off with a smaller section of the dune. We will progress Higher and Higher up on the dune as your skills improve.

The norm is to stand on the Sandboard as you descend down the dune but if you prefer to rather sit we will show you the ropes as this is also a lot of fun if your balance seems to get the better of you. We do not allow more than 6 to 8 boards at a time coming down the dune as its a safety risk. We rotate larger groups to ensure all have fun in a safe environment.

Penguin Colony visit

The African (or Jackass) Penguins’ breeding ground at Stony Point is near an old abandoned whaling station where, from 1917 until the Great Depression, around 300 whales were killed each year for their oil. The whaling station finally closed in 1930 and without any particular reason, the penguins started to breed at the abandoned station.

The site has been declared a protected area. A wooden boardwalk takes visitors directly to the nesting burrows but also effectively keep people from causing damage to the area.

The African Penguin grows to approximately 70cm tall and weighs up to 3 kilograms. Regarded as an endangered species, they mate for life and returns to the same nesting site for up to 15 years.

Clarence Drive

One of the most scenic roads in the world!! Clarence Drive is a magnificent scenic coastal drive between the windswept hamlet of Rooi-Els and the naval town of Gordons Bay, which nestles in the north-eastern crook of False Bay in the shadow of the Hottentots Hollands mountains. This beautiful, coastal drive stretches between the two towns over 22 km, hugging the wild turquoise Cape coastline all the way. This road is a wonderful experience along the coast to the town of Hermanus

Our Kleinmond Office 5 minutes from the Palmiet River

Our Kleinmond Office 5 minutes from the Palmiet River

So our season is about to start on our local Palmiet river – only 1 Hour from Cape Town and 5 Minutes from Kleinmond.

The Rafting is not only one of the most amazing and thrilling experiences you will ever have but also has a natural beauty in the surroundings unlike any other rafting experience.

Considered by many to be the most beautiful of CapeNature’s protected areas, Kogelberg Nature Reserve earns that reputation largely to the fact that it occupies an area with minimal human interference. Its exceptional diversity and quality of fynbos means it is considered the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom. The reserve presents perhaps the finest example of mountain fynbos in the Western Cape.

Rafting SA Forest Adventures

Our Rafting experience on the Palmiet is dictated by the water levels and we use 2 types of Crafts depending on the levels.  For bookings phone 083 517 3635

Rafting Orange River

Every year  we raft a section of the Orange River from Raap and Skraap down the Orange River Gorge  – where we have an awesome day abseiling down the Gorge. This 4 day trip is undoubtedly one of the most scenic river rafting sections –  Orange River Rafting at its best.

We will return to the site most of us fell in love with again in August 2014

This stretch of river  boast the most scenic stretch of the Orange River.

Most of the trip is a comfortable flat water paddle with a handful of rapids along the way. Its ideal for small groups wanting to experience a once in a lifetime adventure.

An abundance of fish along this stretch of river also creates for one of the most memorable fishing experiences you will ever encounter on the Orange River.

If you would like to book a trip on the Orange River with us please email us below.
